Lexi (formerly known as Slate) is doing so well, fitting in perfectly to life here. We have never had to crate her or had any problems. She is very vocal, no problem letting us know what she wants. She loves being out in the yard where she explores and runs and runs and runs chasing the squirrels and birds and playing with her sister, Sophie (a Sheltie mix). Lexi is loving life!

Update, September 2011:

We've had Lexi for 5 months now and what a joy she is! She certainly has made herself at home as you can see by the pictures. She is not overly affectionate but she does love to have her back and her stomach scratched. She loves when my grandchildren come to visit. She loves tearing apart the squeaky toys to get all the stuffing and the squeaker out. Another favorite plaything is abaseball, she tosses it around. I guess she likes the noise it makes when it drops to the floor. It is funny to see.We've got Maggie, my mother's dog pretty much all the time now, so Lexi has another sister. I love the way her beard and coat have filled in. We feel very lucky to have her. I love when she smiles.
