From Jamie Wehler...

Well, we are now 10 months into having Sid in our lives. What a joy he is and what joy he has brought into my life. He is happy and healthy. I was out of town for 4 days at the end of June and when I returned he greeted me as though i were covered in milk bones. My sister said he slept with her the first nite and for the next 3 nites he slept in the rec room facing the door we use to enter from the driveway.

I believe he loves it here and is sooo affectionate and loving...he is still VERY skittish when he lays at my feet and I inadvertantly touch him with my toes if he sees my feet. If he thinks I am petting him with my hand he doesn't jump away. There is no doubt in my mind that somewhere in his youth someone kicked the poop out of him on a pretty regular basis; I don't think dogs develop a foot fear unless that has happened.

He came to us so wonderfully trained and we have kept up with that--i hope his handler was given another dog to keep him company.

Thank you for allowing us the honor of being Sid's forever home--it just comes down to the question of who rescued whom? I surely came out on the winning end of that debate.

Thank you for all you do.
