From Heather Takeuchi...

I only had Shadow for a month, but in that month, I got to know a wonderful, loving dog. He had all the manners a gentleman should have. He was calm and quiet yet distinguished. The highlight of his days were going on our walks together. He would just trot along and loved seeing the other dogs in the neighborhood.

He was so good with my young children, always gentle and patient with them. When we would come home, he would be there waiting, wagging his tail and when we would take him on car rides, he loved it.

We are so sad to see him go so soon, but we know we loved him as much as we could in the short time we had him. He will be missed very much in our house.

From Libby:

I'm very sorry to have to report this...

Shadow (aka Shaddock), who our new foster Heather picked up from Montgomery Co, stopped eating about 5 days ago. After a number of vet visits and x-rays, it was determined he had stomach cancer. Rather than go to the expense of a sonogram and the extended pain for Shadow, we chose to end his life peacefully with the loving hands of Heather on him.

And the positive side is he was loved for the last month of his life, and not in a shelter.

Thank you Heather for loving that dear old boy!
